huh?

graffiti.jpg

....I have been awake for too many hours avoiding the rain outside and I dread 3:45 when I have to actually leave my house and these fuzzy pink pajamas. My amazing blue quilt is tangled around my legs and my pillow is soft but instead of relaxed I feel
tense and nauseous,
sad
sleepy
lonely
stuck
nervous
useless
pointless
warm
weepy
empty
small
confused
busy
in love
worried
slow
misdirected
foolish
lazy
butterflies
and major discontent.
I am not accomplishing anything; I watch the world every day as I do the same things over and over without any real enthusiasm. So what happens now?

half-ass snow day

snow_drive.jpg

Ah, 'tis the life of a teacher on call. While the rest of the world hopes for a snow day I found myself caught between ponderances: $$$ OR a day curled up in my quilt, comfy-cozy on the couch. The above was the view from my windshield as I ever so slowly drove down West Saanich Road this morning. By noon the school administration determined that for the safety of their staff they would arrange to let those who needed to begin the slow, nerve-wracking drive home.

So this is how I spent my afternoon off:
(let me know what you think)
